I have to be honest and tell you that when I decided to publish my poetry, I really did not expect to sell very many, if any at all. In spite of that, I wanted to get them out there for posterity’s sake and well, just because I could! Well, today it all became worthwhile in my eyes! I got a 5 star review from one of Amazon’s top reviewers! You know, even if I never sell another poetry book, that is pretty exciting for me! The lady had some extremeley nice things to say, and I am very flattered and humbled. I hope you’ll take the time to go and read what she had to say!

Congrats on the excellent review. I do think it is good to take a break from larger projects, work on something short, especially poetry because in no time you can have a finished piece that you’re proud of. I admire you for taking the time to get your poetry out there. I’ve been submitting mine to online journals, even though I started doing so grudgingly, because…well, I realize now, I was being lazy just letting the poems sit and collect dust.
Thanks Jessica! Keep submitting your poems, because you never know when you’ll be pleasantly surprised like I was! You might even consider publishing them. I never believed for a minute that I’d sell any, and quite frankly, it didn’t take that many to move up in the rankings! (There just doesn’t seem to be that much competition out there!)
