Operation e-Book Drop

From the Imagination and Graphic Artistry of K.A. M'Lady & P.M. DittmanI recently read a posting on the Kindle Boards about a program called Operation e-Book Drop, and I thought that it was one of the most interesting things I had ever heard about. Basically, this program is about authors donating their e-books to armed services personnel who are serving overseas so that they can have access to reading materials for their electronic readers or book reading applications. Naturally, I decided this was something that I wanted to do!

Well, I just received a notification that I have been accepted into the program, and this afternoon I will be sending out links to service members who have signed up to receive e-mails from authors willing to donate their books. If the service member decides that your book sounds interesting and wants to download it, then they are welcome to do so. There is no obligation or cost associated with doing so.

I think this is an excellent way to show support for all service members, and I encourage everyone who is an author or a service member to go and sign up to participate!
