“The Sable City” by M. Edward McNally

“The Sable City” is a colorful, intense fantasy novel that will grab your attention and keep you coming back for more! In this book, the author has created an expansive world with a wonderful array of characters that will keep you interested throughout the book. This is epic storytelling!

One of the things that I enjoyed the most about this book was the diversity of people that were presented. The book follows several different characters with different agendas who all converge in this magically evil place that only appears once each century.

Whether your fantasy tastes run to magic and swordplay or dragons and other creatures, this book will satisfy your needs! It has been a very long time since I have read a book that covers such a wide range of characters. The way that he ultimately brings them all together is very satisfying and even a bit surprising, but in a good way.

The author does an excellent job of getting you interested in the characters, regardless of who they are. His writing style does a good job of making the characters likeable, and he puts them in situations that make you want to know how they are going to handle themselves. These characters go through a wide range of emotions, and the author manages to depict each with a delicate touch that makes you believe in what is happening.

Another amazing quality of this book is the descriptiveness. The author paints an entire world with very fine strokes that help you to fully envision the setting and the scenarios that these people find themselves in. I know some people would rather just jump right into the story, but if you allow yourself to take the time and imagine the scenes as he writes them, you’ll feel much more satisfied with the final result.

I would rate this book a hearty 5 out of 5 stars!
