Interview with a Digital Poet
Okay, that wasn’t what I set out to be, but that is the title of my latest interview. This time it is David Gaughran who is asking the questions as I continue my blog tour with the Indie Writers Unite Facebook group. If you have been following along, then you already know that Lizzy Ford used the term “mad poet” when she interviewed me!
I find it interesting that people are so curious about my poetry! I suppose part of it has to do with the fact that I have six volumes already published, with two anthologies planned before the summer is out. Since they constitute a greater body of work, I guess they draw the most attention.
Oddly enough, I was doing another interview for an upcoming post today, and most of those questions were targetted towards my poetry as well! Oh well, I’m not going to complain! Go check out one (or both) of my interviews and then hop back here to give me your comments if you’re so inclined! Thanks!

Hey Stephen!
I think it’s because it is relatively unusual. That’s what piqued my curiosity at least.
And I suppose part of it is that self-publishing is very commercial in nature – the whole idea of writers selling direct to retailers or readers and then marketing through social media is very different to the idealized picture of a poet wrestling with iambic pentameter in some Parisian garret.
I suppose they got to eat too!
Just consider yourself lucky I cut the other poetry questions!
Dave
Thanks for stopping by Dave! I enjoyed the interview, and I look forward to hosting you on my site soon!
Hi Steve!
I think it’s because your poetry is unusually good!! There are a lot of poets out there, but few who can convey their messages as well as you do in a way that’s easy to relate to! That’s my opinion, anyway!
Lizzy
Aww shucks, you’re too kind! Thanks for making my day!
