“Desperate Love” is Now Published!
I have finally finished writing my suspense novella, “Desperate Love”, and it is now available in Kindle format at Amazon. “Desperate Love” is approximately 20,000 words, and is the first of a set of three suspense novellas I plan to write. I have completed the outlines for both of the others and have been making good progress on the next one, which will be titled “Shattered Vows”. Below is a synopsis of “Desperate Love”. How far would you go to be with the love of your life? What if she barely knew you existed? For David, it was such an easy question to answer. He would take her to his house and keep her there until she realized just how much he loved her. David isn’t worried about the consequences, because … Read entire article »

Obstacles
Okay, anyone who has visited my blog at any time over the last few months probably noticed that it has not changed very much at all. I haven’t posted any new interviews or guest posts or book blurbs. All the regular activity that had been going on for over six consecutive months just sort of died off. Well, for the few of you who have asked, I am doing fine, and I appreciate your concern! Rather than responding to everyone separately I decided to just post an update here and leave it at that. A couple of months ago both of my kids who are still at home started back to school. My son is a freshman and my daughter is a senior in high school. Both of my kids have … Read entire article »

“RUN” by Michaelbrent Collings
“RUN” is a Science Fiction Novel by Michaelbrent Collings. Below is a synopsis: What do you do when everyone you know – family, friends, EVERYONE – is trying to kill you? You RUN. Michaelbrent has been kind enough to provide us with a sample from this story: Malachi waited in the saloon, his hand curled around a warm beer, and wondered how long it would be before he could just kill someone. It was neither a beautiful day nor an ugly one. Neither was possible in this place, where nothing was real. Though of course it all seemed real. That was the trick. That was the joke. That was the thing Malachi hated most of all. He looked around the saloon, noting the planks that had been … Read entire article »

Two New Poetry Anthologies!
Okay, I have been talking about doing this for a couple of months, and I have finally gotten around to actually doing it. I have just released two new poetry anthologies, which brings my total number of published poems to 900! The first anthology, “Meant to Be“, combines volumes 1-3 of my selected poems with an additional 150 poems that have never been previously published. The second anthology, “Promises“, combines volumes 4-6 of my selected poems with another 150 poems that have never been published. As a result, each anthology contains 450 poems, and each is listed for only $2.99! When you consider that each of the individual volumes previously published was listed at $.99, the anthologies represent a considerable value! Below are the book covers for each of my new … Read entire article »

IWU Blog Tour Interviews
I have recently had the pleasure of joining in on a blog tour as part of the Indie Writers Unite group on Facebook. This will probably be going for quite some time, and basically it is several different writers who have agreed to conduct interviews of each other, rotating through a different writer each week. In the Featured section here on my blog, you will see a reference to an IWU Interview, and it will change each week to feature whichever author I am hosting for that week. Since it is a Featured story, it will remain easily accessible for the full week. I am going to be using this page to keep track of the interviews I have had the pleasure of providing for other sites. Below is a … Read entire article »

“Rise of the Raven” in Paperback!
I am very happy to announce that my first novel, “Rise of the Raven”, is now available in paperback at Amazon! The book is a 6×9 trade paperback with 314 pages, and it was published through Amazon’s CreateSpace. It was very exciting to open the box for the proof copy and be able to hold that very first one in my hand, but the most exciting thing for me was to have my two youngest children, ages 17 and 14, arguing over who should get to read it first! It’s kinda nice to be considered cool again! BTW – The 17 year old won out! This past weekend was her birthday, and on top of that, she fancies herself a writer as well. She is about 80% done with her first … Read entire article »

Operation e-Book Drop
I recently read a posting on the Kindle Boards about a program called Operation e-Book Drop, and I thought that it was one of the most interesting things I had ever heard about. Basically, this program is about authors donating their e-books to armed services personnel who are serving overseas so that they can have access to reading materials for their electronic readers or book reading applications. Naturally, I decided this was something that I wanted to do! Well, I just received a notification that I have been accepted into the program, and this afternoon I will be sending out links to service members who have signed up to receive e-mails from authors willing to donate their books. If the service member decides that your book sounds interesting and wants to … Read entire article »

5 Star Review for “New Beginnings”!
I have to be honest and tell you that when I decided to publish my poetry, I really did not expect to sell very many, if any at all. In spite of that, I wanted to get them out there for posterity’s sake and well, just because I could! Well, today it all became worthwhile in my eyes! I got a 5 star review from one of Amazon’s top reviewers! You know, even if I never sell another poetry book, that is pretty exciting for me! The lady had some extremeley nice things to say, and I am very flattered and humbled. I hope you’ll take the time to go and read what she had to say! … Read entire article »
