AUBURN HAIR AND EMERALD EYES

Filled with longing, flamed by desire.
Passion mounting without disguise.
A need consumes the lovely girl
With auburn hair and emerald eyes.

She wants a man she cannot have.
She longs for him, but she is wise.
She knows he doesn’t know the girl
With auburn hair and emerald eyes.

She knows he married someone else,
But tells herself it’s only lies,
And wishes he could love the girl
With auburn hair and emerald eyes.

She sits alone in her bedroom
So no one sees her when she cries.
That poor, tormented, lonely girl
With auburn hair and emerald eyes.
