MEMORIES

Our time for love has come and gone
While memories yet linger on
Of walking barefoot in the rain,
And how your leaving brought me pain.

My memories seem like a dream
Of when we waded through a stream.
The water came up to our knees
As sunlight filtered through the trees.

So many things which we once shared
When we were younger and we dared
To share our love beneath those trees
Are now no more than memories.
