It hasn’t really been that long
Since you have gone away,
And I know that you’re coming back
To me again someday.
But I just had to take the time
To get you on the line
To see how you were doing and
To say that I’m just fine.
Each night I have these dreams of you
To help me through the night,
And when I wake up every morning
Everything’s all right.
Until you’re back within my arms,
There’s not too much I can do.
These dreams will have to hold me
Until I’m holding you.
