HEART SO COLD

I know it’s hard to imagine yourself alone.
I know it’s hard trying to make it on your own.
But we both know that it’s time you cut her loose,
And you should hurry before she tightens her noose.

You know that once she’s taken hold
That she won’t let you go.
You’ll try to beg her but she’ll just say no.
That woman’s got a heart so cold,
And boy, I think you know.
Don’t make me have to say I told you so.

I think it’s time that you started to turn up the heat,
And then I think you should stand on your own two feet.
Don’t be afraid, everything will turn out great,
But you should do it now before it’s too late.
