ONCE AGAIN

You know the telephone line can’t replace
The thrill I get from seeing your face,
But it will just have to do
Until I’m there holding you
Once again.

Although your letters are a pleasure to read,
They just can’t give me all the things that I need.
Like holding you in my arms
And sharing all of your charms
Once again.

I just can’t wait until I see your face once again,
Holding you so close and tight like I did back then.
Neither one of us needs to tell
The other just how long it’s been.
I want to see you once again.

There’s quite a distance between you and me,
And for the moment that just has to be,
And yet I hope and I pray
We’ll be together someday
Once again.
