UNTIL I SEE YOU SMILE

Until I see you smile again,
My life won’t be the same.
I long to hear your lovely voice
As you call out my name.

Until I see you smile again,
I’ll be an empty man,
For nothing lifts my spirits quite
The way your smiling can.

I hope that you can understand
How lonely I have been,
And that, I know, won’t change until
I see you smile again.
