SOME TOMORROW

It seems each time I close my eyes
My thoughts are centered on you,
But that should come as no surprise
For it’s so easy to do.

Then when I go to sleep at night
I dream that you are still here,
And I am holding you so tight.
You look so lovely, my dear.

Then when I wake up in the morning
You’re the first thing I find on my mind,
And suddenly, without a warning,
All those memories treat me unkind,
For I can’t help feeling the sorrow
When I think of how long it has been,
But I know that there’s some tomorrow
When we’ll be back together again.

I know so deep within my heart
You feel the same way I do,
And even though we’re now apart,
Our love will help see us through.
