I’LL WATCH YOU SLEEPING

I watch you sleeping peacefully
As you are lying there.
I long to touch you just one time,
And yet, I do not dare.

For touching you would waken you,
And then you’d have to go.
So I’ll just watch you sleeping, dear.
It’s selfish, yes, I know.

I wonder as you’re sleeping dear,
Just what you’re dreaming of.
I hope I’m there, as I am here,
Prepared to share my love.
