It seems each time I lay down in the evening,
I just toss and turn there in my bed.
I sometimes find it hard to keep believing
That I can’t get your thoughts out of my head.
Then when I finally sleep, I find I’m dreaming
Of the way you looked the last time that we met.
In spite of what you said as I was leaving,
I find that I’m not over you just yet.
I still can feel your arms the way they held me,
And on my lips I still can feel your kiss.
Within my mind, you’re still right here beside me
Each time that I feel lonely just like this.
When I wake up each morning, I am lonely,
And deep inside, I find I miss you still.
My heart and love belong to just you only,
And darling, you should know they always will.
