When you close your eyes
And lay down this evening,
The first thing you’ll do
Is drift off in dreams
Somewhere by a river
Where I’ll be with you.
In a wonderland of dreams
Where you can dance with me.
I’ll be there in your mind,
And I’m sure you will find
I’ll be loving you even in dreams.
You’ll stand by my side,
And I’ll softly kiss you.
Then I’ll take your hand.
When your eyes meet mine
I know you’ll be smiling,
For you’ll understand.
This dream will soon end
As night turns to morning.
You’ll wake up and then
You’ll smile at the thought
That later this evening
I’ll love you again.
