I looked at her and I decided right away
I wanted her and I would do anything
To be with her if she would only give me
Just a chance to show that I care.
So I followed her until she stopped and noticed
Me watching her, and I decided that I had
To go to her and tell her my name
And that there was no need to be scared.
Then I pulled her close and told her how I felt,
And she smiled at me and I felt my heart melt,
And I knew right then that I was going to make that girl mine.
She turned away from me and walked away without a word.
Then she looked at me over her shoulder
As she waved at me and asked me what the chances were
That I might be going her way.
Then she smiled at me and held her hand
Out to me, and right away I knew that this
Was meant to be, and looking back I know
That I will never forget that day.
So now she’s mine, and all I had to do was say
What’s on my mind, and tell her that I wanted her
To be mine, and I was so surprised to find
That she could be wanting me, too.
Now that she’s mine, I’m a lucky man because
I know she’s mine, and I never thought that I
Would ever find a woman who would share with me
A love that’s so rare and true.
