It would sure be nice to have my morning cup of coffee
Out on that deck, taking in the morning view,
Then ignore that phone when the boss man tries to call me.
Yeah, these are things that I would gladly do,
As long as I’m with you.
It would sure be nice to take a walk along the river
In the afternoon after visiting the zoo,
And then later on, catch a movie after dinner.
Yeah, all these things would be so fun to do,
As long as it’s with you.
When I’m with you, it doesn’t matter where we’re going.
When I’m with you, it doesn’t matter what we do.
When I’m with you, I want everybody knowing
There’s nothing on this earth I won’t go through,
As long as I’m with you.
It would sure be nice to lay beside you in the evening,
As you hold me close, knowing how I feel for you,
And then fall asleep in your arms instead of leaving.
Tomorrow there’s so many things to do,
And I’ll do them all with you.
