MY SIMPLE LIFE

If only I were an artist.
How joyous it would be
To paint your lovely portrait
For all the world to see.

If only I were a sculptor.
How rewarding it would be
To carve a wondrous statue
Depicting your beauty.

If only I were a millionaire,
But we both know that I’m not,
But I am still quite happy
With the simple life I’ve got.
Just having you beside me
To tell my problems to
Has made my simple life complete,
And that’s why I love you.
