STARGAZER

The cold, vast eternity of space
Stretches far beyond my grasp
As I gaze into the stars and search
The universe for answers
To questions without meaning.
The endless surge of energy
Which radiates there from
Unknown sources beams back
At me, as if beckoning me
To understand that the purpose
For my wonder is extended
Far beyond me, to others
Who, like I, stand alone at night
And simply gaze at the stars
And marvel at the wonders
Which we can only begin
To hope to understand.
