V is for the victory which we could never win.
I is for the infantry, those brave, young fighting men.
E is for the enemy we fought against each day.
T is for the tyranny we faced along the way.
N is for the negligence which spread throughout the land.
A is for the arrogance which came from high command.
M is for the multitudes that died in Viet Nam.
W is for the war which no one dared declare.
A is for the aftermath, when no one seemed to care.
R is for the ridicule we faced for Viet Nam.
