SPEAK SOFTLY

Speak softly, in whispers, that none
May hear the words you speak to me
Of love and loving, passions shared,
Kisses stolen when none may see.

Smile sweetly on evenings when love
Fills the air with it’s lovely song,
Expressing joy and happiness
To the one for whom you may long.

Speak softly, in whispers, that none
May hear. Don’t call out loud my name.
Forget, for now, that we’re lovers,
And I will have to do the same.
