It once seemed the only thing that came between us
Was the time that we both had to spend apart.
Yet, even though we had so many miles between us,
I’ve always felt a part of you close to my heart.
Though it seemed at times that time would be our failing,
For the time we spent together was so rare.
Although we knew at times it might not be smooth sailing,
We were grateful for the time we had to share.
Now time is on our side.
It’s something we don’t need to borrow.
Yes, time is on our side,
For we’ve got tomorrow,
And tomorrow’s just part of forever.
I’m sure that you have had your doubts we’d be together
In spite of all the love you feel for me.
It seemed at times there were too many storms to weather,
But I believe this love we share was meant to be.
