WHAT’S ANOTHER MINUTE?

I came and told you what’s on my mind.
I said I wanted to be with you
From now until the end of time.
You said that you would have to give it some thought.
I said take all the time you need,
Because time is all I’ve got.

So what’s another minute,
When I’ve waited a lifetime for you?
What’s another minute,
When I already know what to do?
I’m going to hold you close and never let you go,
Then darling, I will make you see
That my love for you will never leave.
So what’s another minute?

I stood there waiting patiently for you.
I had to hear you say
The words that I already knew.
Then I took your hand and fell to my knees.
Then you told me, “Not so fast,
Just give me a minute, please!”

You laughed and told me to get back up on my feet.
Then you told me I’m the craziest man
That you’d ever had the pleasure to meet.
Then you said it’s only fair I should know
That any minute you might say yes,
And then you’d never let me go.
