THEY'LL BE BACK

Outside the trees are bare.
No leaves or birds are there.
They both have gone away,
But they’ll be back someday.

The grass was once so green
Where flowers once had been.
Their colors fade away,
But they’ll be back someday.

The summer breezes fair,
They are no longer there,
And yet it’s safe to say
That they’ll be back someday.

You said you never cared
For feelings we once shared,
But still I hope and pray
That they’ll be back someday.
