I see the silk sheets
Fall away from your body
As you rise up from the bed.
Your soft skin glistens lightly
As the firelight catches
Your body in its glow.
Slowly, quietly, cautiously,
You cross the bedroom
And glance out the window.
You seem to be thinking deeply
As you stare out at the stars.
I see a smile upon your lips
As you slowly turn away
And begin walking towards me.
You slide beneath the sheets
Into my arms once again.
Without a word spoken, we kiss,
Then fall asleep in each other’s arms.
